| PIE LOTTERY |
[Nov. 7th, 2009|12:22 pm] |
Thanksgiving is my birthday. I am doing holiday pies for Thanksgiving.
And no one can stop me.
Me: Mommyyyyyyy, you know what I want for my birthday? Mom: .....yes? Me: A hundred dollars. Mom: .....for? Me: To mail people pie. Mom: ...................................
What. Don't give me that look.
Twelve lucky recipients will be receiving pastiera from moi. It's an Italian grain pie, that bakeries really suck at making -- my family's recipe is how pastiera is meant to be. It takes three days and about twelve hours of labor to make, and was passed down from my grandfather's little old grandmother in Naples or something like that. Trust me. It's amazing.
There are two pies up for grabs in the batch -- ten have assigned recipients already.
So this is a PIE LOTTERY. I will put the names in a hat of anyone who comments and is not already on my pie gift list. Continental United States only, please. Customs limitations means I can't ship out of country.
COMMENT AWAY.
Edit: Twelve people is probably enough for the lotto. DRAWING NOW, comments frozen. |

| A New Role |
[Nov. 6th, 2009|10:28 pm] |
Wait, we had Lexa Doig as a hunter in the future in one Supernatural episode and Steve Bacic as ( spoiler ) in this week's? Maybe I'll get to see Gordon on Supernatural after all. |

| Final Cut |
[Nov. 6th, 2009|01:43 am] |
If you guys are interested, I made a sort of final collection of my favorite "Tales of Technology" window display shots and put them up on my Flickr. Almost nothing from Wednesday made the cut. which saddens me. On some of them I commented on my own photos to put up some of the detail shots. |

| Narrowing Down the Competition |
[Nov. 6th, 2009|12:35 am] |
Me: Project Runway time, bb Kef: yes indeed Me: Last week: Everyone whined. Kef: they always whine! they are a bunch of whiners
Me: Entertainment Weekly blames the LA location change for Nina Garcia and Michael Kors not being around and says that ratings have been lower this season. They didn't say if it would result in a return to NY. Kef: wouldn't surprise me Kef: it's been a meh season Kef: season three was magic Kef: season four had christian! Me: This hasn't been a stellar clutch of contestants and a lot of the judges du jour sucked. Lack of judge continuity also let Nicholas run one black, white, and/or gray outfit down the runway after another. ( spoilers ) |
